Each martial arts instructor has achieved a minimum of their 1st Dan Black Belt in Goju Ryu Karate do Seiwakai. Each of these martial arts instructors have earned their ranks training under James Duggan Shihan and as a result there is a high degree of consistency and fitness within the ranks.

In saying this, each instructor has developed their own personal style training as a student of karate. Click on each martial arts instructor below to explore their ranks, achievements, strengths and what they are able to teach to a new student of karate on their journey to become a martial artist or improve their self defence skills.
Located in Norman Park, Morningside and Annerley, Brisbane Goju Karate facilitates Goju Ryu Karate do Seiwakai martial arts and karate classes to adults and children with an emphasis on building fitness, core strength and confidence.
Students will learn proven Goju Ryu karate, martial arts and self defence techniques first developed by renouned martial arts instructor Chojun Miyagi from Okinawa back in the late 1800s.

The Brisbane Goju Karate training environment encourages students to push harder to overcome physical and emotional boundaries, leaving them better equipped to deal with life's challenges. We believe working harder together in a group with a common goal provides for greater individual success.

Our promise to you is that every rank you earn will come with an unparalleled sense of achievement.
