There was a great gathering in sunny Southern California in the City of Westchester with Mr. Shuji Tasaki Sensei and Mr. Seiichi Fujiwara Sensei giving extensive corrections and instruction on the JKF Gojukai and WKF Shitei Kata; Saifa, Sepai, Seisan and Kururunfa: As well as Gojuryu Kumite - traditional style [like a real fight]. The host, Chief instructor for Seiwakai USA Vassie Naidoo, and President for Seiwakai USA Des Tuck, put together a great event with the wonderfully appreciated assistance of Mr. K. Kinjo Sensei [JKF Gojukai & Eibukan in West Covina] translating the instructions into English.
Attendees included members, affiliates and visitors from Romania, Portugal, Hungary, Mexico, South Africa, Canada, Japan, Texas, San Jose, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Chicago, Las Vegas and Hong Kong. Also of note and in attendance were the twins Ben Mare and Leon Mare. Leon Mare Sensei now lives in Las Vegas Nevada and his brother Ben Mare still resides in South Africa.
